“Cuervo 300” to Headline Independence Day Weekend Celebration During Historic America 250 Year
JOLIET, Ill., (July 1, 2026) – NASCAR today announced that Cuervo® Tequila will join the return of racing to Chicagoland Speedway as the entitlement partner for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The official race name will be the Cuervo 300, anchoring a blockbuster Independence Day weekend that coincides with the celebration of America250.
The Cuervo 300 will serve as the centerpiece of Saturday’s festivities, bringing NASCAR’s rising stars to the 1.5-mile Chicagoland oval for a pivotal mid-summer showdown on one of the most iconic holidays in American motorsports.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cuervo Tequila as the entitlement partner for our NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race as we return to Chicagoland Speedway during such a meaningful moment in our nation’s history,” said Jacqueline Herrera, General Manager of Chicagoland Speedway. “Independence Day weekend is always special in Chicago, but in an America250 year, it carries an even deeper sense of pride and celebration.”
As part of the partnership, Cuervo Tequila will have prominent branding throughout race weekend, including at-track signage, “Keep it Cuervo” fan zone activations – featuring Cuervo Especial®, Cuervo Tradicional® and Devil’s Reserve®, with craveable margaritas like the “World’s Fastest Margarita,” plus new ready-to-drink Cuervo Canned Cocktails – and integrated hospitality experiences designed to elevate the Independence Day celebration atmosphere.
“Cuervo Tequila has always stood for celebration and heritage, so the return of Chicagoland Speedway for this historic Fourth of July holiday weekend is exactly the type of cultural moment that matches Cuervo’s historic roots,” said Lander Otegui, EVP, Marketing and Innovation at Proximo Spirits. “As a continuation of our new partnership, the Cuervo 300 unites racing tradition and the bold energy of Cuervo Tequila on one of NASCAR’s biggest stages – and there’s no better occasion for us to help fans raise a margarita glass, or crack a can, to the sport they love.”
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race will take place on Saturday, July 4, positioned between Friday’s ARCA Menards Series Ashley Furniture 150 and Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series return with the eero 400, creating a three-day festival of racing for Chicagoland Speedway’s long-awaited comeback.
The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Cuervo 300 will take the green flag on Saturday, July 4, 2026, as part of a full weekend of racing action at Chicagoland Speedway, culminating with the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, July 5.
