General Public Sale Begins for Historic Return of NASCAR Cup Series,
NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and ARCA Menards Series Racing to Joliet
JOLIET, Ill., (Oct. 7, 2025) – Today, NASCAR announced that tickets for the highly-anticipated return to Chicagoland Speedway will go on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 10 at noon CT (1 p.m. ET). The NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and ARCA Menards Series will make their long-awaited return to Joliet following a seven-year hiatus for a can’t-miss Independence Day Weekend commemorating America’s 250th Anniversary.
To mark the return to the legendary 1.5-mile track, NASCAR is offering an exceptional two-day ticket package that includes admission to both the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday, July 4, and the Cup Series race on Sunday, July 5, 2026. Fans can upgrade to a complete weekend package by adding the ARCA Menards Series race on Friday, July 3, for the ultimate Independence Weekend racing experience.
Additionally, kids 12 and under receive free admission to the ARCA Menards Series race on Friday, July 3 and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday, July 4. Kids 12 and under will also receive 50% off tickets to the Cup Series race on Sunday, July 5.

NASCAR previously announced it would bring world-class stock car racing back to the oval in the Chicago region on July 3-5, for an action-packed weekend of racing. The Independence Weekend festivities will kick off with the ARCA Menards Series at 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) on Friday, July 3, followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on Saturday, July 4, culminating in the Cup Series race on Sunday, July 5.
Chicagoland Speedway, which opened in 2001 and hosted NASCAR’s premier series for 18 seasons, last held NASCAR competition at the track in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the suspension of all racing activity across the country. Alex Bowman, driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, recorded his first career win in the 2019 Camping World 400 in Joliet. In 2022, NASCAR introduced the Next Gen Cup Series car, which quickly raised the intensity of competition at 1.5-mile oval tracks like Chicagoland Speedway.
