NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver and defending champion Tony Stewart crashed his primary racecar midway through this morning's practice session at Chicagoland Speedway. While entering turn four, he cut a right front tire sending his No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet hard into the wall. Following the incident, Stewart was transported to a nearby hospital for further examination, where he was seen and released. Teammate and NASCAR Busch Series driver J. J. Yeley qualified Stewart's car in the 13th position, but because Stewart didn't make the qualifying run, he will start from the rear of the field in Sunday's USG Sheetrock 400.
