Share:, the official website of Chicagoland Speedway, will re-launch Friday, February 15 with a new ?look? and added features. will continue to provide race fans with an easy-to-use navigation system, as well as offer in-depth information about Chicagoland Speedway and its events. ?The innovative design and state-of-the-art web technology will give our race fans an even more exciting website that is easy-to-use, while providing them with more of the information they want,? said Brian Crichton, director of public relations for Chicagoland Speedway. The re-designed will be expanded, including new features such as online ticket ordering. Beginning February 15, race fans will be able to purchase their tickets on with their MasterCard, Discover, Visa or American Express using technology. This will provide race fans with a private and secure form for ordering Track Packs, qualifying day tickets and Recreational Vehicle spots. Sections such as the photo gallery, Racing 101, Places to Stay and driving directions will remain on the website but have a different ?look? and contain added information. A new and exciting feature for race fans will be a free online newsletter that will include expanded event coverage, driver interviews, and other fun and interesting sections. Other sections new to will include a tour of the track, information about the local area, and driving school information. ?The changes won?t stop with the launch of the new website. We plan to enhance the website with new sections and throughout the season include games and contests, but are focus will always remain on giving our fans the information they want,? said Crichton. Things to look for in the future include interactive seating charts, online games for kids, and other enhancements involving multimedia and fan interaction. ?During our inaugural season, our website averaged over five million hits per race week, so we want to make sure our race fans have a website that gives them the information they want both quickly and in an enjoyable way,? added Crichton. The re-design of was undertaken by IDEACUBE e-Media of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, an award-winning subsidiary of DPM Advertising. Comprised of a cross-functional team of designers, programmers, content specialists and business strategists, IDEACUBE e-Media was eager to take on the project. ?We were very excited to work with Chicagoland Speedway on the new site. It gave us the opportunity to do some out-of-the-box thinking and engage in some creative design that we normally don't get to do on some the of the typical corporate websites,? said Dave Cannon, managing director for IDEACUBE e-Media. In addition to the re-design of, IDEACUBE e-Media also undertook the re-design of, the official website of Route 66 Raceway, the state-of-the-art ?-mile drag strip and ?-mile dirt oval track affiliated with Chicagoland Speedway. is scheduled to re-launch in March. To give race fans a voice in both website?s design process, Chicagoland Speedway and IDEACUBE e-Media conducted an online survey of currently registered users on both websites. From the completed surveys, three entries were randomly chosen and those individuals were given either Chicagoland Speedway or Route 66 Raceway autographed merchandise. J. Brennan of Illinois and T. Nickolite of Nebraska were the lucky race fans that were chosen. The third winner has been contacted, but has not responded. ?We would like to thank the thousands of race fans who took part in the survey. We received great feedback for our new websites and we hope race fans enjoy them,? said Crichton.
