Match Race Mania races into Route 66 Raceway this weekend!

"Match Race Mania" thunders back to the record-setting Route 66 Raceway on Saturday, May 17 following its successful debut last year.

Nostalgia Nitro Fuel Funny Cars and Front-Engine Top Fuel Dragsters, plus wild Nitro AA/Fuel Altereds lead the entourage of machines, including the exciting Outlaw Super Stocks, the Chicago Wise Guys, the Midwest Gasser Association, the Nostalgia Pro Comp Association, Top Sportsman racers, Wheelstanders, Jet cars and much more.

In addition to the action packed racing events there will be a "Show and Shine" car show for fans to enjoy featuring open-entry for some of the Midwest's finest Hot Rods, Rat Rods, Street Machines, Bikes, Customs and Classics.

Route 66 Raceway to host NHRA National and Divisional events back-to-back

As a convenience and travel savings for racers planning to participate at the 11th annual Torco Race Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals, June 5-8 and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event the following weekend, June 13-15, arrangements are being made for competitors to stay on the property or leave their rigs during the week between the two events.

Competitors will remain parked in the east grass pit area until registration opens Thursday, June 12 for the divisional event. Twenty-four hour security will be provided by the track.

Rockett Brand Race Fuel E.T. Bracket Series News

The next Rockett Brand Race Fuel E.T. Bracket Series event will take place on Sunday, May 25, 2008 with the third Top Sportsman event of the season. This event will also feature the National Dragster Challenge. Don't miss out on your chance to see Route 66 Raceway drivers claim the coveted Wally.

TICKETS FOR THE 11TH ANNUAL TORCO RACING FUELS ROUTE 66 NHRA NATIONALS NOW ON SALE!

The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series will visit Route 66 Raceway on June 5 - 8 for the Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway. As in years past, spectators and drivers are anticipating another record-setting event.

Competition at the 11th Annual Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway will include the categories of Pro Stock Car, Funny Car, Top Fuel Dragster, Pro Stock Motorcycle and all the Sportmans categories. Fans will feel the rumble of the grandstands vibrating from the power of the Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.

ATTENTION RACERS!

Over the winter season Route 66 Raceway performed renovations on the top-end of the drag strip. The gravel trap has been extended by 90 ft. and the turn-off has been widened by 30 ft. It is recommended that racers take the time before they race to familiarize themselves with the changes that have been made.

Ticket Redemption Policy for 2007 Rained Out Masters of Disaster Event at Route 66 Raceway

Fans who purchased tickets to the rained out Masters of Disaster event at Route 66 Raceway on August 4, 2007 can redeem their tickets for admission to the September 20, 2008 Demolition Derby. In order to receive your tickets to this event, you MUST exchange last year’s rained out Masters of Disaster tickets.
