Joliet, Ill. – August 30, 2013 – Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row ride for Furniture Row Racing, will join fans for a question-and-answer session inside the Checkered Flag Fan Zone on Sunday, Sept. 15. The question-and-answer session will take place prior to the green flag of the GEICO 400, the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway.

    CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES TRAIN-TO-TRACK SHUTTLE SERVICE PROGRAM FOR THE GEICO 400

    The Train-to-Track service will provide shuttle transportation to those fans arriving to Joliet Union Station in downtown Joliet, from the Metra Rock Island Line departing Chicago’s LaSalle Street Station, and stations along the Route. Tickets for the shuttle transportation between Joliet Union Station and Chicagoland Speedway are $3 per person each way ($6 round trip) and must be purchased in advance at www.ChicagolandSpeedway.com or by calling Chicagoland Speedway’s administrative offices at 815-722-550 (during regular business hours). Train tickets must be purchased separately through Metra.

    WALK THE TRACK AT CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY PRIOR TO THE GEICO 400, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

    Joliet, Ill. – August 15, 2013 – Prior to the start the GEICO 400 on Sunday, Sept. 15, fans with a Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience pass will be able to participate in a walk around the track at Chicagoland Speedway led by members of the Coca-Cola Racing Family. The Coca-Cola Family Track Walk program is an experience that encourages health and happiness and brings the community together. It provides thousands of fans with the chance to get out and get active by taking a lap of their own with their favorite drivers – on foot.

    CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY JOINS HILLSHIRE BRANDS, AARP AND AARP FOUNDATION IN DRIVE TO END HUNGER

    Joliet, Ill. – August 14, 2013 – Chicagoland Speedway, Hillshire Brands, AARP and AARP Foundation are teaming up this September in the fight to end hunger for nearly nine million older Americans. The organizations will host a volunteer meal-packing event on Wed., Sept. 11 at Chicago’s Navy Pier in an effort to provide meals to older Illinoisans struggling with hunger.

    DALE EARNHARDT JR. HEATS UP CHICAGO’S STATE STREET WITH BURNOUT

    Joliet, Ill. – August 12, 2013 – Dale Earnhardt Jr. took Chicago by storm on Monday, performing a celebratory burnout on State Street in front of the legendary Chicago Theatre before travelling to Millennium Park to greet a crowd of adoring fans. Earnhardt Jr., currently sixth in the point standings, will return to Chicagoland Speedway on Sept. 15 for the GEICO 400, the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
