* During race weeks, e-mail is the best way to contact Don with credential questions.
All credential requests must be sent by the editor or the sports director and be submitted by mail on company letterhead. Requests must contain the name(s) of all individual(s) covering the event and their specific titles and duties (writer, reporter, photographer, etc.). Requests must also be received at least 14 days prior to the event to be given consideration. If you are in danger of not meeting the 14-day deadline, you must overnight your request in order to be considered. Credentials will not be issued to part-time personnel or for those who do not work in the sports department. If the request is for a freelance writer or photographer, you must send a certificate of insurance showing they will be covered under your company's workers compensation and liability insurance. You must also send tear sheets of any previous sports/race coverage with their by-line. Please specify the events and dates you will need credentials. Credentials are given on a weekend event basis only and must be picked up on-sight in-person with a photo I.D. upon signing a release waiver. Also, fax, phone, verbal or e-mail requests will not be accepted. Please note that NO BLANK CREDENTIALS WILL BE GRANTED. CREDENTIALS CANNOT BE ISSUED TO A MINOR. A credential is a WORKING access pass to allow members of the media to perform their duties in order to cover (reporters), photograph (photographer) or work (Public Relations) the race. This is not a spectator pass. Please contact the credentials department at (815) 722-5500 if you have further questions.
Note: Chicagoland Speedway reserves the right to request recent copies of your entire publication with your request so we can see the format. Copies of past coverage of any other racing events are appreciated.
Send all credential requests to:
