JOLIET, Ill. (February 9, 2018) — Chicagoland Speedway announced today that fans who purchase tickets for the Overton’s 400 using the code CLSTRUEX18 have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy a ticket refund if 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion Martin Truex Jr. wins the 60th Annual DAYTONA 500 on Feb. 18. Truex, driver of the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Toyota Camry, has won back-to-back races at Chicagoland Speedway and has been in contention to win the last two DAYTONA 500s.

This limited-time offer is only available until 12:30 p.m. CST on February 18 or while supplies last. Following Truex Jr.’s title-winning performance during the 2017 season, fans are flocking to his camp in hopes of witnessing the two-time Chicagoland Speedway race winner finally obtain his first win in “The Great American Race.”

“This is an exciting way to not only kick off the highly anticipated 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, but it gives fans an extra incentive to get behind the 2017 Cup Series champion and our back-to-back Chicagoland Speedway race winner, Martin Truex Jr.,” said Chicagoland Speedway track President Scott Paddock.

With this offer, fans who purchase a single-day Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Overton’s 400 ticket and pay in full between now and the DAYTONA 500 will receive a refund following the race if Truex earns the victory. Eligibility for “Winning with Truex” is limited to single-day Chicagoland Speedway NASCAR Cup Series purchasers in all sections of the grandstands by using offer code: CLSTRUEX18 or logging onto www.chicagolandspeedway.com/truex500.

Truex has had his share of success at Daytona International Speedway. His highest Monster Energy Series finish is a second-place in 2016, where he was narrowly edged out for the victory in the closest finish in DAYTONA 500 history. Truex has 25 Monster Energy Series starts at Daytona, with an average finish of 22.6, one top-five finish, three top-10 finishes and has led 68 laps. Could the third time be a charm for Truex Jr., after leading the DAYTONA 500 last year with two laps to go and finishing second in 2016?

The promotion will begin on Friday, February 9 and will close one hour before the start of the DAYTONA 500 on Sunday, February 18 (race start time scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET) or while supplies last. Fans can visit www.chicagolandspeedway.com/truex500 to purchase their tickets.
