Joliet, Ill. – Sept. 14, 2014 – Brad Keselowski won a wild Chase opener at Chicagoland Speedway for the second time in the last three years, rolling into victory lane in The MyAFibStory.com 400. Keselowski drove away from Jeff Gordon and rookie Kyle Larson, who finished second and third respectively, on a restart with six laps remaining to capture his fifth win of the season and lock up a spot in the second round of NASCAR’s new playoff system.

Keselowski shot into the lead with a highlight-reel pass, splitting the gap between Larson and Kevin Harvick as they battled for the lead.

"I saw Kyle and Kevin racing each other really hard and they were aggressive at side-drafting and I was just waiting for an opportunity to strike and it came," said Keselowski. "The car stuck and everything just came together."

The driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite led 62 laps, but lost track position when he had to pit twice under caution for a loose wheel. He dropped to 16th but worked his way back through the field and into the top five on a restart with 30 to go.

"I'm not really sure what to say," said the Chase’s #1 overall seed. "I don't really know what happened, I just know we got to the lead."

Penske teammate Joey Logano finished fourth, while Harvick, who won yesterday’s Jimmy John’s Freaky Fast 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race.
