Kyle Busch Returns to Gatorade Victory Lane at Chicagoland Speedway


Joliet, Ill. – September 13, 2014 – Kyle Busch held off Matt Crafton and Austin Dillon to take the checkered flag in the Lucas Oil 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race tonight at Chicagoland Speedway.

This was Busch’s sixth win of the season and 41st career victory in the series. He led 66 of 150 laps, and drove through the entire field not once but twice to make it to Gatorade Victory Lane.

“We didn’t have a problem making our way through traffic, but it was still hard to pass when we were down to crunch time there with the #20,” said Busch. “Good day though; being in Victory Lane feels good.”

Rounding out the top five were Tyler Reddick, with a career high 4th place finish, and Jeb Burton.

Kyle Busch has won four out of five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races at Chicagoland Speedway, including back-to-back wins in 2013 and 2014. 

Busch will return to Chicagoland Speedway tomorrow afternoon for the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Busch, one of 16 Chase contenders, will start from the pole position in the 400.
