DANIELLE BRADBERY, WINNER OF ‘THE VOICE’ SEASON 4, TO PERFORM THE NATIONAL ANTHEM PRIOR TO THE GEICO 400
The GEICO 400, the First Race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup takes place on Sunday, Sept. 15
Joliet, Ill. – August 26, 2013 – Danielle Bradbery, the 17-year-old Texas native who sang her way into the national spotlight on Season 4 of ‘The Voice’, will perform the national anthem prior to the GEICO 400 on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Chicagoland Speedway.
Bradbery, who coach and country star Blake Shelton described as “the most important artist to ever walk across The Voice stage,” recently released her debut single, “The Heart of Dixie,” which made its entrance at no.1 on the iTunes country chart and no. 16 on Billboard’s Hot Country Charts. During her time on ‘The Voice’, Bradbery’s renditions of country classics were responsible for more iTunes downloads than any other contestant in show history.
In September, Bradbery will join label mate Brantley Gilbert at Chicagoland Speedway, when he performs an infield pre-race concert prior to the GEICO 400, the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. While all fans with a Sunday race ticket will be able to enjoy the concert from the grandstands, Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience pass holders will be able to walk down to the infield to enjoy his No. 1 hits such as “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do.”
Though season ticket holders receive complimentary Pit and Infield Fan Zone Experience passes, they will also be available for purchase to non-season ticket holders. For $50, fans can purchase the pass for Sunday’s GEICO 400 that will put them close to the stage as Brantley performs.
For the third consecutive year, Chicagoland Speedway will host the first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup this September – the first of ten ‘playoff’ style NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in pursuit of the 2013 championship. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will kick off the weekend on Friday, Sept. 13 along with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying. On Saturday, Sept. 14, the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Nationwide Series returns with the GEICO 400 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup concluding the weekend on Sunday, Sept. 15.
