DANICA PATRICK JOINS FANS IN CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY’S CHECKERED FLAG FAN ZONE ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
Bobby & Donnie Allison Headline Fan Zone on Saturday, prior to the start of the Dollar General 300 Powered by Coca-Cola
Joliet, Ill. – July 31, 2013 – Danica Patrick, driver of the No. 10 Go Daddy for Stewart-Haas Racing and 2013 DAYTONA 500 pole sitter, will join fans for a question-and-answer session inside the Checkered Flag Fan Zone on Sunday, Sept. 15. The question-and-answer session will take place prior to the green flag of the GEICO 400, the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway. Also appearing on Sunday in the Checkered Flag Fan Zone will be Dale Earnhardt Jr., winner of NASCAR’s NMPA Most Popular Driver Award for a record tying 10 consecutive years.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, NASCAR legends – and brothers – Bobby Allison and Donnie Allison will host the Checkered Flag Fan Zone, before the start of the Dollar General 300 Powered by Coca-Cola NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Named one of the NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, Bobby was the 1983 Winston Cup Series champion and a 2011 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee. Donnie was named NASCAR Rookie of the Year in 1967 and went on to win 10 Winston Cup races.
Located just outside the main entrance, the Checkered Flag Fan Zone provides race fans with a unique hospitality opportunity to enhance their race day experience. In addition to behind the scenes driver access and a full buffet meal in a climate-controlled tent with unlimited soda, water and three beer tickets, (must be 21 years of age or older) fans will also have access to music, entertainment and prizes. Tickets to the Checkered Flag Fan Zone are as low as $99 on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola, $129 on Sunday, Sept. 15 for the NASCAR Sprint Cup GEICO 400, or special weekend pricing of $210 for both days.
