STP TO SERVE AS TITLE SPONSOR OF CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY’S JUNE 4th NATIONWIDE SERIES RACE
STP 300 Nationwide Series Race, June 4 at Chicagoland Speedway
Joliet, Ill. – April 13, 2011 – Chicagoland Speedway today announced that STP has signed on as title sponsor of the June 4th Nationwide Series Race, the STP 300.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have an iconic brand like STP as the title sponsor of our June Nationwide Series race,” said Scott Paddock, president of Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway. “The STP 300 is the kick-off to the racing season at Chicagoland Speedway, and with the widening of seats and the admissions of coolers, it will be a terrific taste of what’s to come when the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup begins at Chicagoland Speedway this September.”
In addition to being the title sponsor of the STP 300 Nationwide Series race, STP has formed partnerships with multiple ISC properties including Talladega, Richmond, Darlington, Michigan and Kansas.
“Just like the teams, drivers and tracks that we are sponsoring, the STP brand stands for quality and performance,” said Guy Andrysick, Armored AutoGroup EVP of Sales and Marketing. “So as we look to grow the STP brand in a competitive marketplace and create new and exciting activation opportunities for our retail partners, a renewed presence in motorsports is an important part of our strategy.”
