Are you ready for July NASCAR® Weekend at Chicagoland Speedway®?

Here’s a look at special events you’ll want to know about.

 

THURSDAY (July 8, 2010)

 

4-11 p.m.: JOLIET RACE FAN RALLY

FREE

Downtown Joliet

Join the party at this annual celebration in Downtown Joliet, Ill. Located just miles from the track, this event features visits from NASCAR drivers, a Classic Car show, KidZone, simulators and food.

7-9 p.m.: CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY’S BLACKJACK TOURNAMENT FOR CHARITY

$150 TO BUY IN (Limited spots available to public. Call 1-800-Harrahs for info.)

Harrah’s Hotel and Casino, 151 N Joliet St., Joliet, IL 60432

Fun for the adult NASCAR Fan. Play shoulder-to-shoulder with NASCAR Sprint Cup’s Kurt Busch and Greg Olsen, tight end for the Chicago Bears. Spots are limited – call 1-800-Harrahs for more information. Admission is free to spectators. Have a drink, relax and watch the action on the big screens.

FRIDAY (July 9, 2010)

8 a.m.: Parking Lots Open. Main spectator gates open. (By Box Office).

8:30 a.m.: Nationwide Series Practice.

10 a.m.: Nationwide Series Final Practice.

 

10 a.m. – 6 p.m.: TOYOTA OWNERS HOSPITALITY

FREE TO FANS WHO OWN A TOYOTA (Key, or registration/insurance card that shows proof of Toyota, Lexus or Scion ownership required for entry).

Located outside of Turn 4 at the entrance to Champions Park, this VIP hospitality area will treat Toyota owners to free refreshments, gifts, appearances by Toyota drivers and a place to sit down and relax. (Race tickets are not included).

 

11 a.m.: Pit Alley Open for Pit Pass Holders.

11:30 a.m.: Sprint Cup Series Practice.

Noon: Remaining Spectator Gates Open.

1:30 p.m.: Sprint Cup Series Final Practice.

3:05 p.m.: Nationwide Series Qualifying (2 laps, all positions).

 

4-5 p.m.: FUEL CONCERT

Ticket or RV admission to July NASCAR Weekend required

Miller Lite Concert Stage, Champions Park, Chicagoland Speedway

 

5:05 p.m.: Sprint Cup Series Qualifying (2 laps, all positions).

6:30 p.m.: Dollar General ® 300 Powered by Coca-Cola Pre-race.

7 p.m.: Dollar General® 300 Powered by Coca-Cola (200 laps, 300 miles).

 

SATURDAY (July 10, 2010)

8 a.m.: Parking lots open.

3:15 p.m.: Mark Martin monument unveiled in Champions Park.

        Watch as Martin sees the monument he earned as Winner of the 2009 LifeLock.com 400.

3:30 p.m.: Q and A with Duncan Keith, LifeLock Stage in Champions Park.

Keith, Grand Marshal for the LifeLock®.com 400, is the first player in NHL history to win an Olympic Gold Medal, the Stanley Cup and the Norris Trophy in the same year.

3:15-4:30 p.m.: COCA-COLA FAMILY TRACK WALK

FREE TO FANS WHO HAVE TICKETS TO JULY WEEKEND, RV ADMISSION PASSES

This free event begins at approximately 3:15 p.m. and includes a walk around the surface of the 1.5-mile D-shaped tri-oval of Chicagoland Speedway, a concert featuring local talent and a Q &A with Coca-Cola Family drivers. Refresh yourself with free Coca-Cola products. Event will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. Walkers should enter the event at the Pedestrian Tunnel located in Turn 1. PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED. DRIVERS TO BE ANNOUNCED.

 

4:30-5:30 p.m.: PAT GREEN CONCERT

Ticket or RV admission to July NASCAR Weekend required

Miller Lite Concert Stage, Champions Park, Chicagoland Speedway

 

6 p.m.: LifeLock®.com 400 Pre-race.

6:30 p.m.: LifeLock®.com 400 (267 laps, 400 miles).
