New Ticket Packages Ready for Public Dec 7

Tickets for the 2010 racing season at Chicagoland Speedway go on sale to the general public on Monday, December 7.

In addition to a season ticket package (Track Pack), fans will also have the option to choose other ticket packages, including NASCAR race weekend, August race weekend, and single-day tickets to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race and IZOD IndyCar® Series race in August.

"It’s great to know that in just a few short days, we’ll be able to provide our fans with the purchasing flexibility for our 2010 events that they have been asking for," said Craig Rust, president of Chicagoland Speedway.  “We’ve worked hard the past few months developing and implementing a new ticket model that we believe fulfills this important customer need and I want to thank all of our fans for their input, as it really helped drive the process.  Whether our fans want to catch all six of our races next season, or just attend NASCAR or IZOD IndyCar® Series race weekend separately, they now have the choice to do so.”

In 2010, a Track Pack will once again include admission to six (6) races over two (2) event weekends, while a NASCAR weekend package allows fans to attend the Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide race on Friday evening, July 9 and the LifeLock.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday evening, July 10.  An August weekend package includes tickets to the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on Friday evening, August 27, as well as tickets to the Firestone Indy Lights and PEAK® Antifreeze and Motor Oil Indy 300 IZOD IndyCar® Series races on Saturday evening, August 28.  Fans will also have the choice to purchase single event day tickets to the NASCAR Camping World Series race and PEAK® Antifreeze and Motor Oil Indy 300 IZOD IndyCar® Series race in August.

Along with grandstand tickets being on sale, Recreational Vehicle passes for the season, as well as individual race weekends, also go on sale Monday. Chicagoland Speedway offers five locations for RV parking: Infield Trackside (electric and non-electric); Infield Non-Trackside (electric and non-electric); Speedway Ridge; Lower Ridge; and Lakeside Campground.

One other change taking place for the upcoming season at Chicagoland Speedway is a two-day NASCAR event weekend, as opposed to the traditional three-day event weekend that featured NASCAR Pole Day.  Qualifying for the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway will now take place before the start of the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola Nationwide Series race on Friday evening, July 9.
