Hey Race Fans!

Tickets for the fourth annual Racin' the Bases Celebrity Softball Challenge are going fast! Don't miss out on your chance to see 2004 Raybestos Rookie of the Year Kasey Kahne hit the softball field with members of the media and former Chicago Bulls teammates Will Purdue and Bill Wennington during this year's softball game. The event is scheduled to take place at Silver Cross Field in Joliet on Thursday, July 12. Gates open at 4:30 p.m.

In addition to Kahne, NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series drivers Kurt Busch (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge); Kyle Busch (No. 5 CARQUEST/Kellogg's Chevrolet); Brian Vickers (No. 83 Red Bull Toyota); Tony Raines (No. 96 DLP HDTV Chevrolet); J.J. Yeley (No. 18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet); Regan Smith (No. 4 Waste Management Chevrolet) and Kevin Conway (No. 18 Z-Line Design Chevrolet) will also participate in this year's softball game.

Ticket prices for "Racin' the Bases" are as follows: $10 (General Admission), $15 (Reserved Seat and Box Seat). Tickets are on sale now at the Joliet JackHammers box office. Tickets can be purchased by calling 815-726-BALL (2255), visiting the box office at Silver Cross Field or online at www.jackhammerbaseball.com .

"Racin' the Bases" is presented by Chicagoland Speedway, Victory Junction Gang Camp and the Joliet JackHammers as part of the 2007 "Race Fan Rally" being held in Joliet's City Center. Festivities kick off with an autograph session from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the celebrity softball game at 6:15 p.m. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to bid on autographed racing memorabilia located near the main entrance throughout the game.

This fun-spirited charity softball game, which has raised more than $150,000 throughout the past three years, benefits Victory Junction Gang Camp - a special place where children with chronic medical conditions can retreat to rejuvenate their minds, bodies and spirits. The camp was co-founded by NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series driver Kyle Petty and his wife Pattie, in honor of their late son, Adam.

Silver Cross Field is located three miles north of Chicagoland Speedway. The state-of-the-art ballpark opened in 2002 and has a seating capacity of 4,616, but Silver Cross Field can hold more than 7,000 fans with the General Admission areas (grassy hills). In 2003, Baseball America ranked Silver Cross Field the second-best of the 66 ballparks in the independent classification of professional baseball and first in the Northern League.
