COULD BUSCH "SQUEEZE" HARVICK OUT OF GATORADE VICTORY LANE THIS SUNDAY?

Though Kevin Harvick has been synonymous with winning at Chicagoland Speedway, Kurt Busch may very well be the proverbial fly in the ointment this weekend.

In the last two Tropicana 400's at Chicagoland Speedway, Harvick has won them both. He started sixth in 2001, and 33rd in 2002.

But Busch, who has finished in the top 10 both times here, started on the outside pole in the No. 99 Rubbermaid Ford last year. And after a disappointing finish in last week?s Pepsi 400 ? 36th ? Busch has an extra incentive to win Sunday?s Tropicana 400.

"We are looking to regain our momentum somewhat after last weekend ? We want to get back on track,? Busch, who is seventh in the championship point standings, said. "I have run well and qualified well at Chicagoland before. The Rubbermaid team has just been so strong this year that I feel confident we can run up front at every track and have a chance to contend for the win. That's what we need this weekend."

Busch has a new car and crew chief Jimmy Fennig believes the Roush Racing-prepared piece will be a threat to win.

?I am confident it will run well, but it puts an extra importance on our practice time, to make sure we work out any kinks,? he said. ?Last week was kind of a letdown, but we still ran strong. The crew just wants to get back to the track and hopefully have better luck this weekend."

Other drivers to watch this weekend are Bill Elliott and Mark Martin, the only drivers besides Harvick and Busch with top-10 finishes in both NASCAR Winston Cup Series races at Chicagoland Speedway.
