In his second race of the season, 21-year-old Austin Dillon seized the checkered flag at Chicagoland Speedway. Dillon was able to hold off runner-up Kevin Harvick as he pushed through the final round of pit stops in the lead. Dillon's Grandfather and team owner, Richard Childress, was very proud of Austin's ability hard-work and the crew's strategy.
Brad Keselowski, a contender in the 2011 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, grabbed his first-ever win at Chicagoland Speedway. He scored the lead after Edwards ran out of gas on pit road after tugging back-and-forth for the lead throughout the first half of the race. This race marks Keselowski's 15th career win in the NASCAR Nationwide series.
Tony Stewart claimed victory in the first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway. The postponed game due to heavy rain was in Stewart's favor as he grabbed his first win of the 2001 season and his 40th career NASCAR Srint Cup Series win. Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
